Match Preview: Stoke vs. Norwich

Match Date: 29 September 2013 (local time)

Venue: Britannia Stadium

Premier League Betting Tip Enduring a defeat after displaying an impressive performance, Stoke shall try to avenge itself via ensuring that it gets the upper-hand when it meets Norwich.

After a goalless score against Manchester City, the Potters fell into the hands of Arsenal. The Gunners took the victory via scoring 3 goals whereas Mark Hughes and his men have only managed to net a single goal.

Although the match ended in defeat, the club subjected their opponent into a hard-fought triumph, which is often seen only in major encounters or championship battles. Aside from displaying an impressive show, the match also saw Geoff Cameron net his first Premier League goal.

Pitted against Norwich, Stoke shall not waste such opportunity to collect more points and improve its performance in the ranking.

Meanwhile, just like Stoke, Norwich just came off from a defeat against Aston Villa. It could have ended in a stalemate if Robert Snodgrass converted the penalty during the  6th minute of the match. Unfortunately, he was denied and by the 30th, Aston Villa’s Libor Kozák scored their winning goal.

The Verdict: Stoke overcomes Norwich with 2 goals

Between the two, the odds readily favor Stoke. The latter has a much better form after snatching 2 consecutive victories and even forcing a draw against Manchester City. Their loss against Arsenal is indeed, disappointing. However, the club has nonetheless, managed to collect 7 points in its last 5 matches.

On the other hand, Norwich’s has yet to seal its 2nd victory. The club already has its taste of defeat thrice and has only won once. The Canaries are in dire need of securing a triumph as they are just a notch away from the relegation zone.

Match Preview: Sunderland vs. Liverpool

Match Date: 29 September 2013 (local time)

Venue: Stadium of Light

Premier League Betting Tip Luis Suarez’s anticipated return into the pitch is expected to bring spark to the club’s performance. The club has already suffered a draw when they met Swansea and most recently, a defeat to Southampton. Against Sunderland, Liverpool shall put a stop to its seemingly downward move in the table.

Liverpool definitely misses Philippe Coutinho. The club’s last 2 matches how Coutinho’s absence caused the squad to surrender the top spot of the table to other squad such as Arsenal. After a seemingly unstoppable winning streak, Liverpool settled for a draw against Swansea and had a stunning defeat to Southampton.

Nevertheless, compared to other clubs, Liverpool’s form is still in a better shape. They have 3 consecutive victories to boot and definitely, going against Sunderland hardly causes them a headache.

On the other hand, Sunderland foresees yet another impending defeat as they face Liverpool. So far, the club has not won any of its last 5 matches. The best result that they have accomplished was a draw against Southampton. It is no secret why they are at the bottom of the relegation zone—after repeated lackluster performance, the club shall have a hard time fighting for survival.

The Verdict:  Liverpool thrashes Sunderland

Despite Coutinho’s absence in the pitch, Liverpool’s worries will soon disappear as star player, Luis Suarez is about to return. The renowned striker just finished its 10-match ban after biting Branisla Ivanovic. His entry greatly favors the club since they will be playing in a foreign territory.

Speaking of territorial advantage, Sunderland shall enjoy such benefit during the match. However, they have developed the habit of waving the white flag at both full time and half time. Moreover, their past encounters showed them conceding at least 3 goals. With such kind of performance, Sunderland shall have a tough time bringing down Premier League giants, Liverpool.

Match Preview: Everton vs. Newcastle United

Match Date: 30 September 2013 (local time)

Venue: Goodison Park, Liverpool

Premier League Betting Tip Everton has never been defeated during the course of its last 5 matches. Nevertheless, majority of its encounters resulted to a draw. Now that they will be playing in their own ground, the club expects to snatch its 3rd victory smoothly.

The Toffees just pulled off a down the wire victory against West Ham and they look forward to replicating such success when they meet Newcastle United.

Its most recent match saw Leighton Baines fired 2 goals which almost secured their triumph. However, Mark Noble converted a penalty to equalize the score. In the end it was Romelu Lukaku’s shot that sealed West Ham’s fate.

Everton has never lost in their last 5 matches. But their performance is just half way of being impressive Three (3) of its encounters ended in a draw and it was only during its last 2 matches that the club has able to secure victories.

As for Newcastle United’s side, the club crumbled to Hull. In a seemingly never-ending exchange of goals, Hull’s Sone Aluko fired Hull’s winning shot and force Newcastle United to wave their white flag.

Just like, Everton, The Magpies have also 2 victories to brag. Unfortunately, 2 losses and a draw completes the club’s performance during its last 5 matches. Alan Pardew and his boys need to man-up if they want to avoid the relegation zone.

The Verdict: Everton scores 2 goals

Beating Everton in their own territory is a tough feat. The club has won 7 out of its 8 home matches and to make matters worse for Newcastle United, the Toffees have a reputation of keeping a clean sheet in their own ground.

The Magpies can readily try to have an upset. However, with Everton’s form, losing is certainly out of their vocabulary.
