EURO 2016 Qualifiers Preview: Andorra vs. Wales

Updated: September 2, 2014
Wales- Gareth Bale

Match Date: 09 September 2014 (local time)

Venue: Camp d’Esports del M.I. Consell General, Andorra la Vella

Andorra has never won a single match in the European Championship and will most likely use the upcoming match as an opportunity to show some improvements. But with Bale and Ramsey around, it looks like the upper hand will ultimate go to the Welsh.

The contenders

La Tricolor eyes for more improvement in the upcoming European Championship.

Since its participation in 1998, the team was unable to score a single point in its competitive matches. It has managed to score  7 points ,but apparently, this is barely enough to help them advance in the latter stages of the competition.

Andorra, however, was able to have its first taste of victory during its clash against Yugoslavia in 2006. The two teams were competing for a World Cup spot in the said match. Since then, the team was pushed back into the periphery.

Unlike Andorra, Wales has somehow, created quite a reputation in the tournament. But like their upcoming opponents, the team is still struggling to get its first qualification. This is despite having a talented roster of players such as Ryan Giggs and Ian Rush.

However, Gareth Bale is eager to make a difference and create history for the club.

Bale is one of the most prominent figures in the Spanish power club, Real Madrid and he will be present during Wales’ first qualifying match.

Possible head turner

Everybody should watch out for Bale. The talismanic striker has been in perfect form and will definitely refuse to take the push-over role in the competition.

But Bale is not the only one worth of attention. Joining him is another top caliber player, Aaron Ramsey.

The best bet

It does not take a genius to see that Wales is the definite online betting favorite in the match. Indeed, wagering for the squad is a lucrative one.
