Team Form

Tottenham

Tim Sherwood and his men have no reason to make things easier for Crystal Palace. This is despite the huge gap, which separates them in the Premier League table. Losing to Arsenal and exiting the FA Cup prompted the club to shift their focus into the tip-flight league.

Back in the Premier League, Tottenham holds a satisfactory record. They took the upper hand during the match against Manchester United and kept a clean sheet against Stoke.

Overall, they have only lost once during their last six (6) matches and currently occupies the 6th spot of the table. A win against Crystal Palace gives them a possible lead over Everton and Liverpool. With a dose of consistency, they can capitalize on the said victory and ensure a sting in the Champions League Qualifiers and Europa league.

Crystal Palace

Tony Pulis shares the same sentiment with Sherwood in terms of the importance of their upcoming match. As a matter of fact, the Eagles bear much of the pressure as scoring points is not their sole concern. They also have to worry about surviving relegation and overpowering a strong club is just one of the many obstacles they have to go through.

Crystal Palace’s current form is short of being spectacular.  They have only won twice in their last 6 clashes. Certainly, there is nothing to brag about.

But they have transformed into an instant eye candy, which acquired a celebrity like status for the above-mentioned victories propelled them out of the relegation zone. Sure, they are back in that dreaded area again. However, under Pulis’ guidance, they were able to limit Manchester City’s goal by one (1) and even forced an even steven finish against Norwich. Indeed, there is no assurance that they shall overcome Tottenham. But they are fast becoming a threat, which can deliver frustrating upsets.

Football betting tip:  Tottenham

Expect Tottenham to dominate the match. However, one can also expect Crystal Palace to put up a great challenge.
