After failing to win a single match in their last nine (9) encounters, Guingamp will try its luck to score a win at Auguste Bonal. Unfortunately, the visitors, Sochaux is also keen on collecting more points to survive this season. As both clubs are unwilling to give way for the other, many online betting tips foresee a draw in the said match.

Match Date: 15 February 2014 (local time)
Venue: Auguste Bonal

Team Form

Unable to sustain their momentum, Sochaux slumped to the rock bottom part of the table again. This was after a heartbreaking defeat to the strong Lille.

Indeed, it was Lille that dominated the match. The latter scored the opening and closing goals of the match, which resulted, to Sochaux’s undeniable downfall.

Sochaux’s form readily requires immediate action. Its most recent defeat was the third time that their respective opponents have kept them at bay and their form manifests a sluggish growth.

A closer look into their form shows that they have only won twice in their last six (6) matches and their losses readily outnumber their wins. So far, they remain stagnant at the 19th spot of Ligue 1’s table.

Similar to Sochaux, the newly promoted Guingamp also suffered a disappointing defeat. This time, it was at the hands of the more experienced Reims.

Jocelyn Gourvennec and his men need to step up on the pitch if they still ambition to remain in France’s top-flight league. Their most recent defeat was already their second consecutive defeat. Making matters even worse was the fact that they have been winless in their last nine (9) matches.

Forcing a draw has been the only reason behind veering away from the relegation zone.

Prediction:  Stalemate

Expect both clubs to engage in a down the wire clash as they fight for their survival this season. Both will refusse to waver the white flag as they are all keen in avoiding another costly defeat.
