Serie A Preview: Udinese vs. Napoli

Updated: September 16, 2014

Match Date: 21 September 2014 (local time)

Venue: Stadio Friuli

Beaten in their own ground, Napoli needs to win back its supporter’s trust and confidence via securing a victory against Udinese.
Since the season started, the Partenopei has been under fire after losing its Champions League bid to Athletic Bilbao. Back in the domestic league, it seemed that the squad barely works hard to make an impression. They were not even in the top three 3—something that is quite unlikely from what they achieved last season.

The contenders

After outshining Empoli, Udinese fell short when they went against Juventus. The defending champion hardly gave them the chance to respond and its air tight defence enabled them to keep a clean sheet.

Although the result is way too devastating, most especially for the squad, which tries to feature this season, Udinese still has the chance to recover when they meet Napoli at Friuli this weekend.

Whatever happened to Napoli? Apparently, it seems that they were unable to recover from their loss to Athletic Bilbao.  Just recently, the squad fell into the hands of Chievo.

The narrow defeat came into life when Gonzalo Higuain failed to convert an easy penalty in which, Chievo took advantage of.

Napoli currently sits at the 10th spot of the Serie A table and is hopeful that the upcoming match shall give them the redemption that they need.

Possible head turners

The Partenopei took plenty of shots during the match against Chievo. Markek Hamsik, Gokahn Inler and even Jose Callejon all tried to snatch a lead for Napoli. But they need to be more clinical in their upcoming battle in order to give the online betting favorite the points that it badly needs.
