Venue: Mapei Stadium

Napoli is keen on improving its defence after experiencing a stunning stalemate against the newly promoted squad, Palermo at San Paulo. Though it helped them move a notch higher, their current performance was not meeting the expectations of many. The same thing holds true for their upcoming opponent, Sassuolo.

Sassuolo also gained a point when they forced Fiorentina to settle for a scoreless stalemate. Unfortunately, this barely helped them veer away from the relegation zone.

The contenders

Sassuolo’s head honcho, Eusebio Di Francesco was quick to admit that the Violas had total control in their recent match. He explained that the club was unable to keep the ball to their side and lacked the offensive grit.

Prior to the said game, the Neroverdis were also contained in a scoreless stalemate by Sampdoria.

Pitted as heavy favorite of sports betting tips, Napoli failed to deliver the much needed victory at home.

Although the club dominated the scoring list, a resilient Palermo was able to equalize. Rafael Benitez expressed that the Partenopei needs to work in their defence to avoid such mistakes. He also shared that the club’s lack of composure requires immediate attention if they were to dominate the top-flight league again.

Possible head turners

Sassuolo’s defender, Luca Antei will definitely make life harder for Napoli. The Partenopei should keep his tabs on him if they are indeed, eager to snatch the coveted 3 points.
