Serie A Preview: AS Roma vs. Hellas Verona

Roma has managed to maintain a clean slate in the top-flight league after clinching a well-deserved win against Parma. In its last 4 matches, the capital club has yet to experience, which explains why it currently occupies the top spot of the Serie A table. The online betting favorite is off to meet Hellas Verona.


Like Roma, Hellas Verona is also undefeated in its last 4 matches. Yet, 2 of them ended in a stalemate, which explains why they are sitting on the 5th spot of the top-flight league.


The contenders

AS Roma

Roma almost lost its perfect record when they fought against Parma. Adem Ljajic gave them the lead on the 27th minute, yet, Parma’s Paolo De Ceglie responded on the 56th and just when the spectators thought that a stalemate will take place, Miralem Pjanic converted a free kick that witnessed Roma soar high in the Serie A table.


Currently, Roma shares 12 points with the defending champion, Juventus.


Despite its clean slate, however, its head honcho, Rudi Garcia downplayed talks of winning the title. Garcia implied that it still, too early to tell and discuss such matters.


Hellas Verona

Verona made a spectacular comeback against Genoa when the latter threatened to snatch the 3 points in their recent match. Alessandro Matri scored a double, but the joint efforts of Panagiotis Tachtsidis and Artur Ionita forced an even steven finish, much to Genoa’s disappointment.


Possible head turners

Watch out for Roma’s team captain, Francesco Totti. The club’s leader has been a prominent figure in the win against Parma and will most likely to feature in the upcoming match.
