Italy’s most avid football supporters cannot deny the rigor of the current season’s run. It has only been three weeks since Serie A opened, but online betting trends are already underscoring great heights in terms of bettor attendance and commitment. With the tournament now approaching its fourth week, more pitch ingenuities have to be expected. The upcoming match (September 21) between Milan and Napoli, for one, is a sure haven for spectators to gauge their favorite teams’ abilities in the football court.

Current league leaders, Napoli, have so far been able to collect nine points to their record. They have only conceded two goals out of three matches, scored nine innings, and earned landslide wins. Not only are Partenopei highly successful in the Italian top-tier football, but they were also very upbeat in the Champions League. Fellow Group F member and German champions, Borussia Dortmund, experienced a horrific start in the season after Napoli thrashed them 2-1 at the rain-washed Stadio San Paolo. For the Germans, it was a dreadful premonition; but for the Italians, it was a massive accomplishment.

Milan’s form in the current season might confuse any onlooker, having obtained all the possible results in their matches. They started their campaign with a depressing 2-1 away finish from Hellas Verona, but later redeemed themselves with a breathtaking 3-1 home win over Cagliari. Their third and most recent stint gave them their first stalemate in the season, scoring the same goals (2) as Torino. With combined earnings of four points and scoring six goals, Rossoneri now occupy the table’s ninth spot. In the Champions League, Milan delivered a brilliant debut. Scottish Celtic went home empty handed after their Italian opponents successfully converted two opportunities into goals and effectively prevented their rivals from scoring.

While both sides have been successful in the continental tournament, Napoli and Milan do not exude their Serie A powers in the same wavelength. The former have a perfect record to brag about, while the latter have only one win to be proud of. In this match, Napoli will have to gain their fourth consecutive win.
