Inter Milan

Match Date: 28 September 2014 (local time)

Venue: Stadio Giuseppe Meazza

Suffering its 3rd consecutive defeat, Cagliari’s Serie A status is in dire trouble. The squad has not won a single match and thrives through the draw that it incurred against Sassuolo during the season opening.
Cagliari currently occupies the rock bottom part of the table. They will have their chance to earn points when they confront Inter, but considering their current situation, it seems that winning against the online betting favorite is a far-flung shot for now.

The contenders

Despite Rodrigo Palaccio’s missed penalty, Inter emerged victorious against Atalanta. The match ended in a 2-0 win, which paved way for Inter’s rise in the Serie A table. The club also remains undefeated in its last 4 matches.

But while the squad’s performance is nothing short of being spectacular, its head honcho, Walter Mazzarri stressed on the importance on being “clinical” in their upcoming matches.

Cagliari needs to score points as soon as possible. As mentioned, they are still winless and might face relegation if they fail to improve.

Zdenak Zeman, however, expressed his appreciation for his squad, stating that this squad did a good job in creating scoring chances. Nevertheless, he also discussed that unless scoring chances are converted, these will barely give them the result they need.

Possible head turners

Pablo Osvaldo  seems to find a new home at Inter after a short and not so fruitful stint with Southampton. Expect more goals from this underrated striker.
