Serie A Preview: Genoa vs. Sampdoria

Similar to Empoli, Genoa is frustrated for having Alessandro Matri’s goals cancelled by a determined Hellas Verona. Victory was already within its reach, until their opponent turned the odds into their favor.


Although, Genoa moved higher in the Serie A table because of the said even steven finish, they missed the chance of penetrating the top 5 due to the said stalemate.


Meanwhile, Sampdoria is keen on keeping a clean slate in the top-flight league. The club currently occupies the 3rd spot of the league table.
