Cagliari Calcio v Atalanta BC - Serie A

The Italian top-tier league continues with its fourth week of competitions. The upcoming match between Cagliari and Sampdoria will serve as one of week four’s highlights and a sure magnet for football betting enthusiasts, sports broadcasters, and supporters in general. The tourney is slated to take place on September 21 at the Stadio Comunale Sant’Elia in Cagliari.

Cagliari had a great opening stint in this season’s Serie A, scoring two goals against Atalanta’s one. However, during their second match, the side were pulled down in the table after incurring a heavy defeat from Milan 1-3. While it was indeed painful, the Rossoblu have used their downfall as a motivation to redeem themselves in their subsequent tourneys. And so they did, after producing a thrilling encounter with Fiorentina and finishing the match in stalemate 1-1. This tourney was really fine, but the side need more remarkable innings to positively progress in the rankings. In this upcoming match with Sampdoria, Diego López’s men should exploit their home advantage (former home, to be precise) and capitalize on their best players to keep enemies away from scoring. A well-executed game plan will be their key to secure a second win.

Compared to their adversary, Sampdoria have a much paler streak to boast of. Two out of their three Serie A matches were utter distresses, opening their campaign with a loss from Juventus 0-1 and finishing their most recent match in another defeat from Genoa 0-3. In between these tourneys was Blucerchiati’s only silver lining: a stirring draw with Bologna 2-2. Currently ranked near the table’s most dreaded zone, Sampdoria are in dire need of a victory. The side have already conceded six goals and have only earned one point out of three bouts. Delio Rossi’s men were so much better last season, where they ranked higher than the eighth place for all their first three encounters. This term, they barely went past the 14th spot.

Football betting tip: Apparently, Cagliari are in a comparatively better form than their opponents. With their past five encounters largely dominated by the Rossoblu, there is so much reasons to assume that Sampdoria will again lose their battle to their rivals.
