Match Date: 18 May 2014 (local time)

Venue: Stadio San Paolo

Napoli and Hellas Verona look into a possibility of ending in a draw as they engage into their last match this season. The Partenopei is keen on scoring 100 goals whilst the Gialloblus are eager to reclaim themselves from a disappointing draw. As the intentions of these clubs clash, selecting the match’s online betting favorite may prove to be difficult.

Despite the Partenopei’s impressive performance against Sampdoria, its head honcho, Rafael Benitez continues to push for a much better display on the pitch. He stressed that he wants the squad to collect 100 points this season.

Compared to their performance last season, Napoli was outranked by AS Roma, which, forced them to settle on the 3rd spot of the table this season. Nevertheless, the club has managed to clinch the Coppa Italia silverware against Fiorentina. There is no assurance though that Marek Hamsik, the club’s team captain can make it to the club’s final match.

Napoli has only lost once in its last 6 matches. They are at their best when they play at San Paolo, having won 26 of their last 28 home matches.

Meanwhile, Hamsik’s absence is good news to Andrea Mandorlini and his squad. Just recently, Lazio forced the newly promoted club to settle for a draw, much to Mandorlini’s disappointment.

Hellas Verona shares a similar team form to Napoli. The former also sports an impressive form, which saw them won thrice, lost once and drew twice. Hellas Verona has also managed to score an average of 2 goals in their last 5 matches—something, which, if strategically used, can help them outlast Napoli.

Prediction: Stalemate
