Chievo and Hellas Verona

Match Date: 05 April 2014 (local time)

Venue: Stadio Marc`Antonio Bentegodi

The Flying Donkeys of Serie A is left with no other option but to clinch as many wins as possible. This was after they bowed down to AC Milan during their previous encounter.

Chievo Verona’s next match is pitted against Hellas Verona, which came off from a well-deserved victory against Genoa. Will the donkeys have enough strength to save themselves from the relegation arena?

Eugenio Corini shared that fatigue has taken a toll on his side during the Milan faceoff. He stressed that their loss was readily caused by their “lack of physical conditioning” that is needed when going against quality clubs.  During their Rossonerri faceoff, a tired Chievo was still trying to recover from a cumbersome battle against Bologna. They managed to win the match, but it added strain to their already bone tired bodies when they face AC Milan.

With the said loss, it is evident that the club’s survival battles have become tougher than ever.

In as far as Hellas Verona is concerned, Chievo’s current condition spells good news to them. It is Gialloblu’s perfect storm.

Prior to the match, Verona was already struggling with 4 consecutive losses. They needed to steal the limelight from Genoa or they face the risk of slipping into the mid-table. True enough, they delivered and not only that, they have also managed to enter Serie A’s top 10.

Verona, however, is having problems with its away performance. A closer look into their team form shows that they have already lost their last 3 away matches and not only that, they were unable to score in those encounters. Should they put up a lackluster performance, do not be surprise if Chievo pulls off a great upset.

Prediction:  Chievo

Hellas Verona may have a higher rank, but their team form is in a depressing state. The win against Genoa was their first in their last 6 matches whereas Chievo, at the very least, has managed to secure at least 2 victories. Therefore, the latter becomes the match’s online betting favorite and is pegged to win at  a decent value of 1.97 while sharing a handicap of 0-0.5 in 12BET.
