A cloud of worry and doubt looms over Santiago Bernabéu  as scoring machine, Cristiano Ronaldo is suspected to have pulled his hamstring after an impressive demolition of Almeria. The match ended with Real Madrid scoring 5 goals while keeping a clean sheet against their opponent.

Ronaldo was forced to go out of the pitch 52 minutes after he scored the club’s first goal. The squad’s scoring machine complained muscle stiffness, which prompted the group to take him out of the ground for precautionary measures. While it looked like as if there is nothing to worry about the club’s scoring machine and that he remains in his 100%, the reaction was purely understandable.
Real Madrid remained in good form. But their defeat during the El Clasico battle paved way for other clubs, to be more specific, Atletico Madrid to outranked them in La Liga. In the Champions League, the Madridistas is still, on top of its group despite of being forced to settle with a draw against Juventus. In all these occasions, Ronaldo has been a consistent scorer.

Against Juventus, he (Ronaldo) and Gareth Bale fired 2 important goals. He was also the top scorer during their 1-point win against Rayo Vallecano.  In their match against Sevilla, he scored a hat trick and this was eventually repeated when they thrashed Real Sociedad. But perhaps if there is one important show where he really shone and gain the affirmation of being this year’s Balloon D’ Or’s winner,  this is when his hat trick rallied Portugal to book their ticket to the 2014 World Cup competition.

When he left the pitch, the decision was necessary. Barcelona taught Real Madrid well. The Lionel Messi injury taught them well. Pulling out Ronaldo on the field secures not only his well-being but also Real Madrid’s destiny. At any rate, there is nothing to worry.

Real Madrid plays the strongest when they are at home and they will be at Santiago Bernabéu when they meet Valladolid. Seventeen (17) out of their 18 home matches ended in their victory, Moreover, they have been firing at minimum of 2 goals in their last 24 matches. What will they worry about?

Indeed, Ronaldo may be out. But Ronaldo is not Real Madrid—in the same way that he was not Manchester United and this is something that Carlo Ancelotti must be proud of. The Madridistas have a talent pool, which can deliver goals when needed. There is Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema, which will not waste every scoring opportunity. Rising star Isco is also under Real Madrid’s wing. Ancelotti’s superb resume bank of high-profiled players are simply overwhelming. Literally, he is spoilt for choice.  But  for now, Ronaldo’s best move is far from scoring a hat trick, but witnessing the beautiful game from the bench.

Valladolid shall go through an uphill climb when they visit Santiago Bernabéu. This despite the possibility that Ronaldo shall be sidelined during their match.
A defeat shall see Valladolid plummet into the relegation zone. Currently, they are hanging on to the 17th spot of La Liga. Unfortunately, the Madridistas are far from being an easy target. They will fight tooth and nail and they will score like it is their last time in the pitch.
Valladolid has been conceding 1-2 goals lately. Majority of their matches ended in a draw and it was only through these that they were able to avoid the bottom pit for quite some time. The defeat against Osasuna was a certified heartbreak. It was a come from behind win and they could have snatched 3 extra points to create a comfort zone. Yet, it never happened. Their poor defence has been preventing them from making a strong finish. Pitted against Real Madrid, there is a strong tendency for them to hit the rock bottom part of the club.

Football betting tip: Real Madrid 3-1 Valladolid

Real Madrid shall remain in the limelight while Valladolid shall plunge into the relegation zone.
