West Brom - Week 9

Match Date: 25 October 2014 (local time)

Venue: The Hawthorns

Crystal Palace’s lacklustre performance readily threatens the squad’s Premier League status next season. The club suffered another major defeat, which prevented them from veering away from the relegation zone.

The contenders

West Bromwich Albion

A mixture of frustration and disappointment lingers within the Hawthorns as the Baggies, which is also the current favorite of sports betting sites, were forced to settle for an even steven finish against Manchester United.

The squad was on the verge of clinching the coveted three (3) points when Daley Blind netted a late goal to keep the Red Devils’ hopes alive.

With the said draw, West Brom was stuck on the 14th spot of the league table, accumulating a total of nine (9) points since the season started.

Crystal Palace

It seems that Crystal Palace misses the leadership of Tony Pulis. The club suffered another loss, which pushed them to the rock bottom part of the table. Occupying the 16th spot, the Eagles is back to the critical spot where Pulis rescued them last season.

Apparently, the club needs to show some improvement and refrain from repeating its previous mistakes.

Possible head turners

Frazier Campbell and Mike Jedinak could be the scourges that West Brom should be wary of. The two were impressive in the clash against Chelsea via taking crucial scoring opportunities. But they need to be more clinical should they really want to gain the upper-hand in the upcoming match.
