Tottenham Hotspur v West Brom

Match Date: 28 September 2014 (local time)

Venue: The Hawthorns

Burnley suffers a seemingly fatal pressure of earning its first win this season. The newly-promoted squad has not won a single match since its promotion and thrives via meager draws.

Burnley’s story is quite the opposite of West Brom. The latter has finally ended its winless streak after securing a stunning and rather unexpected victory against the online betting favorite, Tottenham Hotspurs.

The contenders

West Bromwich Albion

James Morrison put a stop to West Brom’s unfortunate spell when he scored the winning goal against Tottenham. The latter could only look in awe as if trying to decipher what transpired.

West Bro has not been as prolific as many expected due to its weak start. Nevertheless, many are expecting the recent victory to inspire the squad in scoring more points.

Sitting at the 9th spot of the table, Burnley earned its 3rd consecutive draw this season. Although they have managed to earn 3 points from the said results, apparently, these are not enough to retain their Premier League status. The squad needs to win more matches for them to catch-up and survive a competitive league.

Possible head turners

Saido Berahino currently tops West Brom’s scoreboard. He is expected to produce more goals in the upcoming match in the event where none of his teammates found his way into the scoring line. Morrison may also nail another winning goal.
