Swansea- Week 9

Match Date: 25 October 2014 (local time)

Venue: Liberty Stadium

Pressure mounts up in Swansea and Leicester’s camps as they attempt to secure a victory after going down in their recent matches.

The contenders

Controversy flavoured Swansea’s narrow defeat to Stoke. Its head honcho, Garry Monk, openly called the midfielder, Victor Moses, a “cheat” for diving to get the penalty.

The Swans were ahead by a goal after Wilfried Bony converted a penalty, but Stoke’s Charlie Adam was also granted by a penalty and was able to deliver. It was not until Jonathan Walters scored on the 76th minute that Swansea succumbed into a disappointing defeat.

Due to the said loss, Swansea dropped to the 8th spot of the Premier League table.

Leicester’s team captain, Wes Morgan admitted that the squad is “pressured” in snatching a win against Swansea. The squad suffered its 3rd loss and has only generated  a single point in its last three (3) matches.

Similar to Swansea, Leicester also slipped in the top-flight league ranking because of their most recent defeat.

Possible head turners

Swansea’s Ki Sung-Yueng is one of the players Leicester should be wary of. The defender is not only capable of keeping the ball in Swansea’s camp, but can also score the needed goals, if the right timing and opportunity come in. Ki Sung-Yueng, however, need to be more clinical for him to convert the scoring chances that await the sports betting favorite.
