Match Date: 15 September 2014 (local time)

Venue: KC Stadium

Hull tries to get back to its feet after a disappointing loss to Aston Villa. It was its first defeat in the season. The FA Cup runners-up will most likely unleash a strong run in the next match to collect more points. Unfortunately, a determined West Ham United is eager to stand in its way as the squad is likewise eager to seek redemption after experiencing its second defeat.

The contenders

Hull

The sad part of controlling the match’s possession is the inability to create or convert scoring opportunities. Apparently, this is what happened to Hull. The club kept the ball to its side, but was unable to maximize such opportunity. On a closer look, it is evident that Aston Villa took more shots and they were clinical too. Prior to the end of the second half, the Villans was already 2 points ahead. Nikica Jelavic has managed to score on the 74th, but no other goals came from Hull and resulted to a bitter defeat.

West Ham United

West Ham United’s defeat was even more disappointing than that of Hull. The team’s failure to protect its lead paved way for Southampton to turn the odds into its favor. If only  it was able to keep the momentum alive, it could have scored 3 crucial points and move higher in the Premier League table.

Possible head turners

Jelavic has been pretty impressive in his recent match. His scoring prowess should keep the team free from suffering a clean sheet.

What the odds say

The sports betting site, 12BET heavily favors Hull in the match. The club is valued to win at a profitable 2.16.
