Match Date: 19 October 2013 (local)

Match Venue: Britannia Stadium, Stoke-on-Trent

Stoke City

Matthew Etherington and Jamie Ness are both sidelined, calling for a slight reshuffle in the troupe’s positions. After finishing their last three Premier League matches in appalling defeats, Stoke City are eager to redeem themselves in their future combats.  The side’s streak is not looking very well, winning only two matches, drawing in one, and losing in the rest. Out of seven combats, The Potters have already conceded more goals (7) than what they have scored for their own house (4). These, along with other standard measurements, gave the side a total of just seven points. A few more defeats should they incur and the Stoke City might just swim in the depths of the relegation zone.

West Bromwich

West Bromwich, like Stoke City, started their new season campaign shaky after losing their curtain raiser to Southampton 0-1. Another loss was experienced in their third stint, but two draws sandwiched this disaster in between. The Baggies’ fifth and sixth weeks in the competition gave them their real success in the tournament, winning their tourneys against Sunderland 3-0 and most impressively, Manchester United 2-1. A 1-1 draw with current leaders, Arsenal, sealed their seven-match streak. In their upcoming battles, the side would again be faced with heavy challenge. Their inconsistent record will be put to an even more baffling situation as the side have a growing injury problem. Sinclair, Morrison, Long, Vydra, Gera, and Foster are all uncertain to confirm their presence in the troupe’s future duels.

Online betting tip: Their last six meetings saw Stoke City win half the number, while West Bromwich won only once. The remaining two matches resulted in a draw. In the past three seasons, however, The Baggies have consistently been ranking a few places higher than The Potters. With these indications, it would appear that this match will run fiercely. Hence, a stalemate should be expected.
