Manchester City and Liverpool

Match Date: 13 April 2014 (local time)

Venue: Anfield

A do or die match is set to take place between Liverpool and Manchester City. These two clubs, together with Jose Mourinho’s , Chelsea are the 3 prominent clubs fighting for the coveted Premier League title this season and the result of the said match will readily determine the contenders’ fate.

Undefeated in its last 9 matches and scores an average of 2 goals during its last 13 matches, this is probably the last chance for Brendan Rodgers and his men to snatch a comfortable lead against its respective opponents.

Should they win, they will extend their lead against Chelsea to 5 and make Manchester City bleed as they try to overcome a possible 7-point lead. Everything seems to work out fine for Rodgers in this particular match. Playing at Anfield already yields an advantage and with Luis Suarez, Raheem Steerling, Steven Gerrard, Daniel Sturridge, to name a few, all in good shape, beating the temporary league leaders may not come easy.

However, Manuel Pellegrini is aware that Liverpool shall make them bleed. Thus, for the Chilean tactician, a win is the only acceptable result that they can get at Anfield. He also warned his players about the fatal blows they can get from the scoring machines, Suarez and Sturridge.
Although Pellegrini acknowledges the possibility of a draw and sees it as an acceptable outcome, still, Manchester City’s head honcho insisted that a victory remains their major target.

Prediction: Stalemate

As these title contenders and online betting favorites clash, it is hard to see one club wave the white flag. Given this aspect at hand, it is very much possible for the match to end in an even steven finish.
