Hull and Fulham

Match Date: 26 April 2014 (local time)

Venue: Craven Cottage

Despite Felix Magath’s satisfaction with Fulham’s performance against Tottenham, this does not erase the fact that they are still on the verge of losing its Premier League status. Losing to the Spurs pushed them at the rock bottom part of the table. Thus, their upcoming match against Hull readily requires them to secure a win if they are keen on staying in the top-flight league.

Magath’s satisfaction over the lackluster performance is deeply rooted with the major adjustments that they applied. Unexpected injuries tore the club into pieces, thus, preventing them from executing Fulham’s playing style. But while it is true that Magath has readily understood the dilemmas that his men experience, he was nonetheless, disappointed with their poor defending. This is most especially true when it comes to free kicks, wherein Tottenham was able to exploit. Should they continue this kind of execution, this makes the club vulnerable to their upcoming opponent, Hull City.

Hull’s performance last week was also a disappointing one and this has also caused it to drop to the 14th spot of the table. However, compared to Fulham, it has fared well in the ranking. This should give them a sense of confidence when they visit Craven Cottage. For while it is true that they are far from being the match’s heavy favorite, Fulham has only won once in their last 6 meeting and apparently, this is quite an advantage to the Tigers. Hull has also thrashed them in their previous encounter. The latter kept a clean sheet against them and scored 6 goals.

Fulham may be the match’s online betting favorite. However, it is evident that in this encounter, it is Hill that has the upper hand.
