It is a bit difficult for Nantes to take the role of an online betting favorite despite their better rank against Lorient.  The club’s current form presents a gloomy outlook. Adding more troubles is the impending transfer of their trusted striker, Filip Djordevic.

Team Form

There is no assurance that Nantes will remain tough in keeping a spot in the tournament’s top ten (10). The club’s current form seems to retrogress and of course, this is far from being beneficial to the squad.

Despite having the home court advantage, it must be noted that that the club has already lost four (4) of its last six (6) matches. Such scenario opens opportunities for other squads to exploit such weakness and therefore, push them out of the elite group.

But Nantes have more problems to attend to other than their deteriorating form. According to reports, its trusted striker, Filip Djordevic is set to exit the club and join Lazio soon.

Only two (2) points separate Nantes from Lorient and a victory will give them a quick fix of their current situation.

A closer look on Lorient’s status shows that the club has nothing to worry about relegation. They are on the 9th spot of the Ligue 1 table and their performance before the winter break was superb. Perhaps the only disappointing thing about them is their shocking defeat to Yzeure in Coup de Grace. But in terms of how they fare in France’s top-flight league, so far, they are doing well.

Lorient has maintained an undefeated stance during its last six (6) matches. They will most likely capitalize on this trend to counter the home court advantage that Nantes have. Lorient has all the reasons to be confident about this since they have been pretty successful in their last three (3) away matches.

Should they win against Nantes, the club will establish a more stable and secure spot in the top ten (10) that could even go stronger as their next matches will see them pitted against weaker clubs.

Online betting top pick: Lorient

The last thing that Lorient want is a disappointing loss. Obviously, the club promises to go for a down the wire matches if there are attempts to stop their winning streak.
