Match Preview: Borussia Mönchengladbach VS. Hannover 96
Match Date: 17 August 2013 (local time)
Venue: Borussia-Park

Borussia Mönchengladbach (The Foals) will have the chance to prove themselves as sports betting favorites when they face Hannover 96 (The Reds) in Borussia-Park on 17 August 2013.

Losing to Bayern is definitely not a good way to open the season. In as much as it exerted all its efforts, still the Foals lost to the incumbent treble title-holder. Nevertheless, such experience add more depot the squad—forcing them to look into their weaknesses and embark in a winning streak.

Meanwhile, as for the The Reds’ side, their past performance was a total opposite of the Foals. Against Wolfsburg they won. They scored 2 goals and denied their opponents’ attempt to collect points. Yet, Wolfsburg is not Bayern. Being pitted against a weaker club expects triumphant results. It was a complete give-away. And this situation explains why despite losing its first match, the Foals retain its edge over the Reds.

Borussia Mönchengladbach may have failed to qualify in Europe this season. Indeed, it was disappointing. But it actually works to their advantage. This means that they can duly focus on the domestic league. The club has all the opportunities to collect more points and eventually, regain their strength on the pitch.

Under this context, the Foals can readily maximize the offerings of newly signed striker, Max Kruse to pump up their scoring maneuvers.

It is also important to note that the Reds shall be missing the contributions of its team captain, Steven Cherundolo. The latter is still trying to recover from a knee surgery. Literally, it will be a 10-man lineup for Hannover 96.

The first match is highly important. However, this does not necessarily mean that it shall dictate the club’s performance throughout the season. Apparently, this is one of the things that the Foals want to prove and of course, this possibility is more likely to happen in the match.
