Team Form

AS Monaco

Les Rouge et Blanc’s stalemate against Lorient put a temporary stop to their title campaign as PSG extended their lead to five (5) points.

Claudio Ranieri’s cannot help but expressed his disappointment with the result of their Lorient match. With the draw, their title campaign became even more difficult. It increased the pressure to win more matches and the materialization of a seemingly impossible wish: that PSG may lose soon.

With their upcoming match, the club hopes that the result favors them. Radamel Falcao is still out due to an injury. However, the squad is positive that the entry of former Fulham striker, Dimitar Berbatov, shall do wonders for them.

Paris Saint Germain

Les Parisiens’ win against Bordeaux gave them a comfortable lead over their equally aggressive rival, AS Monaco, thus, cementing their right to take home the silverware.

PSG’s head honcho, Laurent Blanc admitted that Bordeaux’s defence almost kept the club at bay. This explains why it was not until the second half when the club was able to snatch a goal, courtesy of the mighty Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Ibra’s goal was immediately followed by a clinical shot from Alex on the 88th.

Now five (5) points clear at the top, PSG maintains an impressive form. They were undefeated in fourteen (14) of their last seventeen (17) matches and they scored an average of two (2) goals.

Giving them more attacking options is the entry of striker Yohan Cabaye from Newcastle United. Cabaye’s entry is just in time as Edinson Cavani will be sidelined for three (3) weeks after suffering a thigh injury during the Bordeaux encounter.

Prediction:  Paris Saint Germain

AS Monaco will definitely, refuse to throw the white towel in their ground. Yet, neither PSG have the intention to succumb to defeat. For PSG, the match is a rare chance for them to cement their status as Ligue 1’s best club this season.
