Evian Thonon Gaillard

Pascal Drupaz praised his boys after clinching a narrow victory against Valenciennes.
Just when it seemed that the match will most likely end in a a scoreless stalemate, Evian’s Modou Sougou fired a left-footed shot, which snatched a come from behind triumph for the club.

While certain spectators tend to raise their eyebrows against Evian’s hard-fought win, Drupaz praised the club’s commitment in raising the bar higher in every match that they encounter. Against Valenciennes, it was the latter that dominated the possession and if not for Sogou’s late shot, the club will not be able to climb a little higher in the league ranking and instead, drop easily in the relegation zone.

The victory becomes even more meaningful and inspiring as Evian’s  striker, Kevin Berigaud is sidelined for 6 weeks after acquiring a thigh injury. The latter will most likely miss the match against Toulouse.

Toulouse

Toulouse is on its way of redeeming itself after the encounter with Stade Rennes ended in a heavy beating.
The result of its most recent match was probably one of the least expected in Alain Casanova’s camp. Rennes thrashed them with 5 goals and they were not able to answer—not even a single goal. The loss is definitely a blow to the club’s morale, not only because of the overt humiliation on the pitch, but also because of losing the opportunity to move up in the league ranking.

Football betting tip: Evian Thonon Gaillard 1-2 Toulouse

Despite the thrashing experienced, Toulouse, still, gets the upper hand against Evian. In terms of team form, Toulouse has fared well. It currently stands at W4-D3-L4 whereas Evian has W3-D3-L5. Moreover, it must be noted that Toulouse won twice during their last 4 matches.

Lyon vs. Guingamp Preview

Match Date: 02 November 2013 (local time)

Venue: Stade de Gerland

Team Form

Lyon

Only Bafetimbi Gomis was able to snatch a point for Lyon during their match against AS Monaco.

Olympique Lyonnaise suffered another wave of defeat after Monaco’s Mounir Obbadi and Radamel Falcao nailed 2 goals for the club. Lyon has all the time to score an equalizer. Unfortunately, only Gomis converted.

Recently, a loss-draw pattern can be observed from Lyon’s team form. The club has yet to score another victory as its current performance is barely enough to prevent them from slipping into the relegation zone. To note, the club has only won thrice in its last 11 matches. A large portion of it ended in 5 losses, while the remaining 3 were draws. Now occupying the 14th spot, Lyon must make a quick radical change in the pitch long before they struggle for their survival this season.

Guingamp

A 2-1 victory against Ajaccio was all that Guingamp needed to move higher in the Ligue 1 table. The result of the above-mentioned triumph landed the club on the 5th spot and the match against Lyon gives them the opportunity to climb another notch.

With less than 5 minutes left in the match, Claudio Beauvue snatched the club’s first goal and thanks to Ajaccio’s errors, Mustapha Diallo fired a winning shot during the dying seconds of the encounter. This is the club’s 3rd consecutive win and they are looking forward to adding more victories under its belt. Going against Lyon may not be an easy feat, yet, considering the current performance of the two, it is obvious, which between them has the upper hand.

Football betting tip: Lyon 1-2 Guingamp

This is not the first time that Lyon and Guingamp met in Ligue 1 and during their last 6 matches, it was Guingamp who emerged as the stronger club. There is a strong possibility that their upcoming match will also hail Guingamp as the better squad.
