The Verdict: Valenciennes And Toulouse Encounter Ends In A Draw

In the two (2) occasions that Valenciennes and Toulouse met in the last season, both matches ended in a draw. Nobody wants to give way. The two played with all their heart and soul, the ground almost bled waiting for a possible winner. Now that the rivalry came back to life again, there is a high possibility for the match to end in yet another draw.

The Toulouse-Valenciennes rivalry never stops in the pitch. In Ligue 1’s rankings, TFC is just ahead by three (3) points against UFVA.  Unlike other competing clubs, the two boasts of a narrow scoring margin. The number of wins and losses that they have are almost the same. TFC has 13 wins, 12 draws and 13 losses. On the other hand, UFVA has 12 wins, 12 draws and 14 losses.

In terms of team play, both club seemed to know each other well. TFC has problems dealing with long shots. Oftentimes, these moves break their defence wall.

On the other hand, UFVA has a knack for long shots that can easily pass through TFC’s barricades.

Meanwhile, in as much as UFVA can execute their long shots well, they have a trouble protecting leads. For TFC, this spells good news. Its aggressive play enables them to steal the momentum, equalize, or end up as celebrated victors.

Thus, at the onset of Ligue 1, it is a bit difficult to predict which team shall emerge as the triumphant ones. Nevertheless, given how these clubs played before, banking on a draw result is a much better option.
