Match Date: 14 September 2013 (local time)

Venue: Stadium of Light

After an early upset against Aston Villa, the Gunners are up for a great show. Just recently, they outclassed Tottenham with a narrow 1-0 victory and in the Champions League, the club easily swept Fenerbahce.

The 2 consecutive wins enabled the club to leap from the bottom part of the table and occupy the 4th spot, making them one of the league’s top 5 squads.

Amidst the victories, the club is still, immersed in the controversies of its performance in the transfer market. Reports said Mesut Ozil of Real Madrid shall be joining the Gunners’ rank soon. But this is yet to be confirmed. Another notable player who expressed his intention of joining the squad is Schalke’s Julian Draxler.

However, not until these two players have signed their respective contracts, Arsenal’s new line-up or line-up changes remain, unpredictable.

The Black Cats continue to struggle in the Premier League. To date, the club just suffered a disappointing loss to newly promoted, Crystal Palace. Frustration engulfed the club’s head honcho, Paolo Di Canio as he expressed his disappointment over the 3 “pathetic” goals that Sunderland conceded.

Sunderland has never won any of its 3 matches. It lost to Fullham during its first match and ended in a draw against Southampton. Going against Crystal Palace is crucial since it could save the club from spiraling into the bottom pit. However, the Black Cats’ effort remained futile.

Online betting tip: Arsenal to win by 2 goals

With Sunderland losing their last 7 matches, Arsenal will not waste the opportunity to secure another win, collect more points and move further into the league ranking.
Arsenal has been impressive in its away matches. As a matter of fact, its last 6 away matches were won in foreign territories. Concrete proof of this are the victories over Fenerbahce and Fulham.
Should Arsene Wenger secures Ozil’s signature, he shall greatly contribute to the squad’s defense and play a key role in counter-attacking. Similarly, if Draxler decides to enter leave Bundesliga, his renowned long shot prowess is a definite asset to the club.

The Ozil-Draxler duo, if their signatures are secured can keep Arsenal on the tracks. This is most especially true that Lukas Podolski is sidelined for a considerable amount of time due to a hamstring injury.
