Two of Serie A’s big clubs will try to redeem themselves from a lackluster performance. First on the line is the current number one club, Roma, which suffered a draw against Torino. The other is AC Milan, which has only recorded 3 wins this season.

Roma

AS Roma was forced to end its undefeated run when Torino held them in a 1-1 stalemate. The said draw lowered their gap against other title contenders such as Napoli and Juventus.

Kevin Strootman may have scored Roma’s early lead. However, Ricardo Meggiorini’s clever pass left Alessio Cerci open for a left footed shot, which equalized the match. Despite gaining a single point, the result disappointed the Giallorossi. They could have extended their lead and cushioned themselves against Juventus and Napoli’s attempt to go on top. But with the draw, the two only need a single victory to force a tie.

As of the moment, Roma’s only consolation was retaining the top spot of Serie A. Moreover, going against Sassuolo will give them a breather and a possible giveaway victory. They proved to be strong and unstoppable in their own territory, having won 6 of their home matches—5 of them ended with Roma keeping a clean sheet.

Sassuolo

All hopes are high in Sassuolo’s camp. The club saw a shimmer of hope during their narrow win against Sampdoria. As soon as the final whistle came, the club was already celebrating their 4-3 victory and of course, Domenico Berardi’s first hat trick.

Berardi could be the spark that the Neroverdis are looking for. This 19-year old striker can be one of the most powerful forces to reckon with as he scored the club’s 3 crucial goals. As a result, Sassuolo climbed a notch higher. Formerly lingering in the 19th spot, they now enjoy their 18th spot stint. They are still in the relegation zone. But with resilience and of course, on target goals, they might just give Roma a hard time in their upcoming encounter.

Football betting tip: Roma 2-1 Sassuolo

Considering the form difference between the two clubs, Roma is the evident favorite of the match.  Under this context, going for a 2.190 in Roma’s favor guarantees a hefty price.

Chievo Verona vs. AC Milan Preview

Match Date: 10 November 2013 (local time)

Venue: Stadio Marc`Antonio Bentegodi

Team Form

Chievo Verona

A draw was barely enough to lift Chievo from the bottom of the relegation zone. With a W1-D2-L8 record, the club has a lot of catching up to do. So far their only consolation in the match against Bologna was avoiding a straight loss.

Chievo’s poor performance does not reflect the club, which occupied the 12th spot last season. To date, they have already lost 5 of their last 6 matches. Adding more trouble is the fact that they are defeated in 3 of their last 3 home encounters. Injury problems also bring woes to Giuseepe Sannino.

Claiton is sidelined due to a stretched hamstring and needs to take a 4-week rest. The same thing holds true for Simone Bentivoglio, who incurred an adductor strain and Adrian Calello, who is still recovering from his shoulder surgery.

AC Milan

Seeing the Rossoneris slumped into the mid table is quite unusual. Half way through the season and the club has only won thrice. Kaka’s return brought some inspiration most especially if the ex-Madridista unleashed the playmaker in him during the Barcelona encounter. Another wave of Kaka’s magic was experienced when he scored against Lazio. Unfortunately, all efforts produced little results.

AC Milan v ACF Fiorentina - Serie A

Just recently, the club bowed down to Fiorentina, thus, pushing them on the 12th spot of Serie A’s table. They have managed to deliver at least 2 goals in 6 of their 7 away matches. Yet, conceding at least 3 goals in 3 of those away battles is bothering.

Football betting tip: Chievo Verona 1-2 AC Milan

AC Milan’s encounter against Chievo gives them an opportunity to return to Serie A’s elite club. Still, they remain as heavy favorites and going for a 2.120 odds in their favor is a choice of any smart  punter.
