Atalanta vs. Bologna Preview

Match Date: 10 November 2013 (local time)

Venue: Atleti Azzurri d’Italia

Team Form

Atalanta remained at the 9th spot of Serie A after suffering a defeat against Livorno. But another problem arises as their “top scorer,” German Denis is set to serve his 2-match ban after insulting one of the match’s officials.

The Nerazzurris are currently experiencing a slow-down in their current performance. They failed to generate a win in 3 of their last 6 matches and should this continue, they are in trouble of dropping into the mid table.

Although they have a higher rank than Bologna, they cannot be too complacent. They lost twice to them in their last encounters. The rest of the face off ended in their sole victory and draws.

Coming into the match, Denis’ suspension was indeed, a total disappointment. The Bologna match is crucial and at this point in time, the club cannot afford suspensions of such nature.

After suffering from 3 consecutive losses, Bologna’s current form shows some improvement.

Immediately after the successive beating from Roma, Verona and Sassuolo, the club snatch 2 consecutive wins. Its most recent match ended in a draw, but it was enough to help them climb into the 16th spot. Moreover, the scoreless stalemate was also the 3rd time that the club has kept a clean sheet throughout the course of their 6 recently concluded battles. What is more important is that slowly, but surely, they have managed to move away from the relegation zone.

Apparently, Stefano Pioli’s defence tweak proved to be beneficial to the club. This is most especially true nowadays when some of its key players have been sidelined.

Football betting tip: Atalanta 2-1 Bologna

Despite Bologna’s victorious spell against Atalanta, the latter remains as the match’s heavy favorite. They will more likely capitalize on their home court advantage to gain points. With this regard a 2.250 odds in their favor will most likely yield positive results.

Cagliari vs. Torino Preview

Match Date: 10 November 2013 (local time)

Venue: Stadio San Elia

Team Form

Cagliari’s losing streak is fast creating a stir in the San Elia camp. The club just had its taste of 3 consecutive defeats in Hellas Verona’s hands. Such disappointing result pushed the Rossoblus further down the hill.

From a safe 14th spot, they dropped a notch and exposed themselves to the possibility of entering the relegation zone.  It is also noticeable that they have been conceding at least 2 goals in their last 3 matches.

Nevertheless, they are still lucky since they have a victory to brag. They may not be as many as that of AS Roma, but definitely, it created  a cushion against the dreaded zone.

Cagliari daniele conti

Torino’s current team form is slightly better than Cagliari. Sitting on the 11th spot, they have already accumulated a total of 12 points and should they win, they present a high possibility of making it to the top 10.

On the other hand, despite their successful feat, still, they cannot afford to be over confident. They must remember that during their last 6 matches, they have only managed to secure a draw. To survive and make it big in the league, a club needs to enhance its attacking and scoring maneuvers, which, Torino has yet to develop.

Football betting tip: Cagliari 1-2 Torino

Quite surprisingly, Cagliari is pegged as the heavy favorite in this match. It is interesting to note that the last 6 encounters of the two, Torino has only won once, while Cagliari won 4. The remaining match was the sole occasion where the two was forced to settle for a draw.
