Football betting tipsThere have been stories regarding Juventus overconfidence that lead to a draw when they encountered FC København. Now that their focus is back to the domestic league, Antonio Conte is ready to defy all doubts and clinch another victory for the incumbent champ.

Juventus

Juventus’ late rally resulted in a draw when they met FC København in Denmark. Indeed, it was a disappointment for the Italian outfit, which rarely or probably, never lost their macthday one at the Champions League. What is even worse was the possibility of København stealing the victory. But thanks to Fabio Quagliarella, the dreaded loss was avoided.

During the match, København denied Juve 11 times. The latter had plenty of scoring opportunities, however, the club failed to convert except for the equalizer. There have been talks that Juve underestimated their opponent. But Antonio Conte contradicted those statements.

Despite the criticisms thrown at them, Juve will have the opportunity to relax a bit and analyze what went wrong in the Champions League. Back in Serie A, the club shall be facing Verona and such gives the club a total breather amidst the pressure they confront in the international arena.

Verona

Verona remains keen on staying in Italy’s top-flight league. Although they are one of the new faces this season, they establish quite a reputation for themselves.
First off, they greeted AC Milan with a stunning 2-1 victory. One cannot deny the fact that the said result was unexpected knowing that they will be up against one of Italy’s most successful clubs. Unfortunately, Roma kept them at bay with 3 goals. However, Verona avenged themselves when they clinched a 2-0 victory against Sassuolo.

Going against Juventus may not be an easy feat for the club. Yet, with what they have shown against Milan and Sassuolo, they are in to give Juve a major headache in the match.

The Verdict: A single goal clinches victory for Juve

Despite the fact that Juve is the incumbent champ of Serie A, they cannot be too overconfident when they face Verona. The latter has been performing well this season and there is a certainty that will fight this match with all their might.

Juve will be playing at home and they can capitalize on that. Back in Torino, they can be more comfortable performing in their own territory and prove that what happened in Denmark will not occur again.

In terms of team form, Juve has the slight edge over Verona mainly because of the latter’s defeat to Roma. Juve’s record, just like Verona is also tarnished, except that instead of losing to Inter, the club managed to force a draw. Whether there was truth to what happened in Denmark, Conte and the rest of his men learned their lesson a hard way. Expect them to man-up in the pitch, but one must also expect Verona to set up a down the wire match.
