Some of Fiorentina’s key players are injured. Hegazy will be out for 6 months and Savic has a sprained ankle to deal with. Nevertheless, the club remains confident that they shall topple Cagliari. With their impressive conversion rate, there is no question why they are favored by many football betting tips.

Fiorentina

Viola’s 2 consecutive wins readily manifest its strength against Cagliari. Fiorentina, along with Juventus, Inter, Roma and Napoli keeps a clean slate in Serie A, making them one of the strong contenders for Serie A’s top spot. Moreover, their victories are far from being ordinary. Just recently, it thrashed Genoa with 5 goals, making the latter scramble for its survival in the league.
Unfortunately, at the apex of their winning streak, he Viola’s are currently suffering from injury issues. Centre-back Ahmed Hegazy, for example, will be sidelined for half a year. The 22-year old player injured his right knee, which readily requires a surgery.

Similarly, the club shall be missing defender Stefan Savic due to a sprained ankle. Although Cagliari is far from being a powerful force in the pitch, the Violas cannot be too complacent. Their opponent is in need of a victory to move further into the rankings. They are the visitors in the upcoming match and they will most likely exert extra effort in order to steal the win from the host’s hands.
Hegazy’s injury brought up stories that Vincenzo Montella has plans to call Per Kroldrup to return to Fiorentina, but not until these reports are confirmed, the club will be playing without Hegazy and Savic.

Cagliari

Amidst reports of Davide Astori and Radja Nainggolan leaving the club, Massimo Cellino stressed that the two shall stay in the club and indeed, the Rossublus will readily benefit in the players’ decision. Up against Viola, the squad definitely needs a strong flank to stay in the match.

On a closer look, it is a perfect opportunity since Hegazy and Savic are nursing an injury. Who knows, this might be the best time to clinch their second victory.
Cagliari just endured a 3-1 beating from AC Milan. Given the number of goals that they have conceded, the Rossublus must step up their defence unit, create scoring opportunities and convert.
The verdict: Fiorentina scores 2 goals

The upcoming match foresees Fiorentina’s dominance. Given the fact that they shall be playing at home and that they have secured 8 victories in their last 9 matches, it will be a bit difficult to topple the club in its territory. This is in stark contrast with Cagliari, which lost 7 of its away matches.

It is also important to look at the previous meetings of both clubs. During their encounters, it was the Violas that secured the victory. In their last 6 meetings, Cagliari has only won once, but managed to secure 2 draws.

Fiorentina is known for its strong wing maneuvers. Such characteristic opens the opportunity for Agim Ibraimi to show what he got. Cagliari can capitalize on the Fiorentina’s injured players and maybe this is also the right time for Davide Astori to share his moves on the pitch.

But while it is true that Cagliari can match the beating that Fiorentina has prepared for them, their chances of winning remain slim. The problem lies with their conversion. Although they have been taking more shots that Fiorentina, they barely converted.

The Violas, on the other hand, are more calculated. Indeed, they take less shots, but rest assured that they exploit every scoring opportunities that come along their way.
