Match Date: 14 September 2013 (local time)

Venue: Estadio Vicente Calderon

Diego Simeone’s signing of  Josuha Guilavogui and Toby Alderweireld presents a perfect solution to the club’s struggling defence. Facing Almeria in their own soil, the club will never fail to delight its roster of loyal supporters.

Atletico Madrid

Occupying the 2nd spot with a clean slate, Atletico Madrid added more thrust to its lineup when it secured the signatures of Saint Etienne star, Josuha Guilavogui and Ajax centre-back, Toby Alderweireld.

Alderweireld is said to be the perfect replacement for Martin Demichellis, who will be filling up Manchester City’s ranks this season.

The Los Rojiblancos made a strong finish last season. Not only did they performed well in the rankings, they also brought home the Copa Del Rey trophy in a major upset against Real Madrid.
However, questions have been thrown at the club as to whether they can repeat their past accomplishment since Ramadel “El Tigre” Falcao left for the newly promoted, AS Monaco. Yet, as seen in their current performance, it looks like Diego Simeone and the rest of his men are doing fine even without their former star players.

Almeria will have to surmount a boulder before it scores its first victory for the season. Up against giants, Atletico Madrid, the club may soon see themselves spiraling down to the bottom pit should they lose ion the match.
Currently, the club’s best performances were 2 draws against Getafe and Elche. Its opening match was far from being impressive too. They opened the season with a defeat to Villarreal and as mentioned, they have not dominated a single match.

Football betting tip: Atletico Madrid tops the Primera Division table

Going against Almeria is a total give-away for Atletico Madrid. The club won its last 4 matches and they have the automatic home court advantage.

The signing of Alderweireld and Guilavogui is also worthy of recognition. Having the 2 great midfielders around are instrumental in increasing and improving the club’s ball possession.

The last 3 matches of Atletico Madrid saw them struggled in keeping the ball to their side. They won due to the increased number of on target shots that they have. However, having two dependable players to monopolize ball possession and set-up creative plays, gives the more edge against all other clubs in the league.
