Team Form

Manchester United

After Juan Mata’s star studded debut and an impressive win against Cardiff, Manchester United failed to continue their momentum as Stoke’s Charlie Adam destroyed them with a 2-1 victory. The Red Devils are currently eyeing for a needed triumph against the relegated Fulham.

Manchester United’s recent form presents an equal distribution of wins and losses. Half of their last six (6) matches ended in their success, while the other half was no more than frustrating defeats.

Throwing the white towel against Stoke proves to be a frustrating one as many expects the club to raise the bar higher with Juan Mata’s entry. It also increased the pressure to win and it seems that going against the minnow Fulham, shall never be easy.

The club will have to find a way on how they will adjust to the absence of Phil Jones and Jonny Evans, who are both sidelined because of injuries. Moreover, they will need to prepare for Fulham’s new talisman, the striker, Kostas Mitroglou.

On the verge of dropping out of the top flight league, the Cottagers are hoping that the signing of former Olympiakos star, Kostas Mitroglou will take them out of the relegation zone.

Mitroglou, who made fourteen (14) goals in the Superleague, helped Greece entered the World Cup and scored a hat-trick against Anderlecht is deemed to be the answer to Fulham’s attacking need.

The Cottagers have been conceding a goal or two within their last seven matches. They were kept at bay in three (3) of their last six (6) encounters and worse, they are at the rock bottom part of the table. Fortunately, they still have enough matches to make it through the next season. And of course, with Mitroglou’s help, the squad expects things to be easy for them.

However, there are no indications as to when the Greek striker can make his debut in the Premier League.

Prediction: Manchester United

Manchester United is lucky to be pitted against Fulham. Evidently, they have the upper hand in this particular match. Mitroglou is indeed, a threat. But not until he lives and exceeds the expectations thrown at him, he has tons of work to do to prove himself.
