A defensive blunder from Kolo Toure forced Liverpool to settle for a stalemate against West Bromwich Albion. Stuck in the 4th spot of the Premier League table, the club’s campaign for an automatic Champions League qualification became even harder.

Toure humbly took the responsibility for all his actions, which prevented the squad from incurring more points. He admitted that the club paid dearly for his “bad decision.”

But despite the loss, Liverpool’s present form remains intact. A testament to this is their impressive record wherein they have only lost once in their last (6) matches.

Scoring wise, the club remains a strong force to reckon with. This is most especially true if they play at Anfield. Nine (9) of their recent home matches saw them fire two (2) goals.  Likewise, they emerged as the victorious party in eight (8) of their previous encounters at home.

Liverpool will most likely use their home court advantage when they meet Arsenal. Raheem Sterling expressed that he is keen on helping the squad bounce back after a disappointing result.

Arsenal’s 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace brought them back to the limelight after being temporarily (sidelined). The club shall attempt to further increase their lead when they visit Anfield.

The Gunners have been dominant in majority of their Liverpool encounters. It is one of the reasons behind their confidence despite their opponent’s evident advantage at home. Making their squad even stronger is the signing of midfielder Kim Kallstrom.

Arsenal alongside with Manchester City and Chelsea remain as favorites to win the title race this season.
