Toulouse 1

Match Date: 30 August 2014 (local time)

Venue: Stadium Municipal

Conceding 9 goals in its last  2 matches, Evian has managed to take the first step out of the relegation zone when they forced Paris Saint Germain to a draw. But with just a point under its belt, will it be enough to help them retain their Ligue 1 status?

The contenders

Toulouse FC

Toulouse lost 3 points after conceding a goal to Bastia during its previous match. Yet, it seems that they have more problems to address when they welcome Evian.

The squad is plagued by injury concerns that sidelined some of its key players. Uros Spajic, for one will be missed after incurring a foot injury that will keep him on the bench for 2 months.

Nevertheless, they can readily exploit their home court advantage to grab an important win.

Evian Thonon Gaillard

Just after two matches, Evian has become a strong relegation candidate this season. It lost its first match against the newly-promoted Caen where they conceded 3 goals. The result of their battle against Rennes was far from satisfying since they were slapped by 6 major goals.

Evian, however, sought partial redemption when they forced Paris Saint Germain (PSG) to a stalemate. Unfortunately, this too is not enough to lift them immediately out of the relegation zone.

Possible head turners

Dragos Grigore could keep the ball in Toulouse’s camp. Scoring attacks from Aleksander Pesic and Martin Braithwaite could also emerged.  But they need to be more focus when taking the shots.

As for Evian, they need to take more shots in order to clinch crucial points.

What the odds say

But of course, Toulouse is the match’s online betting favorite, with odds valued at 1.75.
