Saint Etienne - Week 11

Match Date: 26 October 2014 (local time)

Venue: Stade Geoffroy-Guichard

Keeping up with the demands of the Europa and domestic league is one of the biggest issues that Saint Etienne currently confronts. The club will have to use its time efficiently in order to feature well in both tournaments and apparently, the challenge it has to go through will not be a piece of cake.

The contenders

Saint Etienne

Saint Etienne literally rose from the dead after nailing a win against Lorient. The club suffered a crushed morale after experiencing three (3) consecutive defeats prior to the Lorient victory.

Back in the Europa League, Saint Etienne will be facing an aggressive Inter Milan. Such match will readily expose them to an acid test, but with the victory that they just had against Lorient, the club will be using its renewed confidence to overcome the adversities that might confront them.

Metz

Metz catapulted into the 7th spot of the domestic league after forcing a scoreless stalemate against Rennes.

So far, Metz has been one of the strongest newly promoted squads in the top-flight league. Only two (2) points separate Metz and Saint Etienne and should Metz beats the sports betting site favorite, Saint Etienne, it has a strong chance of penetrating Ligue 1’s top five (5).

Possible head turners

Saint Etienne’s Fabien Lemoine scored the winning goal during the clash against Lorient and should he continue such performance, he could make life a bit difficult for Metz.

Prediction

Saint Etienne 3-1 Metz
