Paris Saint Germain

Match Date: 13 September 2014 (local time)

Venue: Parc des Princes

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s return made a quick turn-around in Paris Saint Germain’s (PSG) fate. After 2 draws, the squad was left in a struggling state. However, its recent match against Saint Etienne witnessed the defending champion in an unstoppable rampage.
Rennes should take caution with PSG’s current form. While it is true that their recent victory gives them the morale boost that they need, PSG is already back to its winning ways and they might just be the club’s next victim.

The contenders

Paris Saint Germain

PSG’s match against Saint Etienne was immaculately spectacular. It was the epitome of team work and superb form. Marco Veratti and Maxwell did well in engineering the squad’s scoring chances, while Edinson Cavani and of course, Ibra, converted. Both strikers were simply clinical. Ibra scored a hat-trick whilst Cavani added more damage, which witnessed the encounter ended in a 5-0 victory in favor of PSG.

In a game that could have ended in a scoreless stalemate, Rennes may consider themselves lucky to fish a penalty towards the dying minutes of the game. The squad readily capitalized from the error committed by Jordan Adeoti when Ola Toivonen converted the penalty.

But despite the said win, the most pressing question that Rennes have to answer is whether they can withstand the attacks of the online betting favorite, PSG.

Possible head turners

Ibra will always be a head turner for the Parisiens. It is also a joy to see Cavani slowly living up to expectations. With these 2 on the pitch, PSG acquires a seemingly invincible presence that will be hard to beat.

PSG 3- 0 Rennes.

Clearly, even football betting odds favor the current titleholder. The squad is valued to win at a profitable odd of 1.49.
