Guingamp- Week 11

Match Date: 25 October 2014 (local time)

Venue: Allianz Riviera

OGC Nice may not be able to use its home court advantage against Guingamp after a brawl that transpired during the derby against Bastia. As for the online betting minnow, the said news translates to better scoring and winning opportunities.

The contenders

Following a narrow defeat to its nemesis, SC Bastia, OGC Nice is at risk of playing in an empty stadium after a brawl that transpired after the said derby. This spells bad news for the club for it will not be able to maximize its home court advantage.

According to reports, the LFP shall not observe a “zero tolerance approach” in the said incident.

SC Bastia’s substitute goalkeeper, Jean-Louis Leca was accused of provoking a group called Brigade Sud, in which Alexy Bosetti is connected with. Insulted with Leca’s unfurling of a Corsican flag, several members of the group invaded the pitch with hopes of getting Leca, Fortunately, the invaders were immediately reprimanded by the authorities.

It looks like  the odds are slowly favoring the rock bottom Guingamp. After four (4) consecutive losses, the squad pulled off a stunner against the strong Lille. The said win made some improvements in their current rank, but still, it was no enough to get them out of the relegation zone.

However, with a renewed confidence and the fact that Nice may not get all the support that it needs from the crowd, Guingamp will most likely to take this opportunity and facilitate another upset.

Possible head turners

Guingamp took very little shots than Lille during their last match. However, they (Guingamp) were more clinical. The likes of Claudio Beauvue and Ronnie Schwartz, to be more specific, were prolific in the said match and there is a high possibility for them to help Guingamp orchestrate another stunner.
