AS Monaco is back to its winning ways when it secured a narrow victory against Nantes. But how long will its winning streak continue?

The contenders

AS Monaco

AS Monaco ended its losing streak when it finally clinched its first win this season. The club snatched a narrow victory against Nantes, thanks to Radamel Falcao. Falcao’s goal was his first in the season. Falcao spent half of his playing time in the sidelines last season after incurring an injury. But it looks like, the deadliest striker is back on its feet again.

Monaco’s overall performance has not been meeting expectations, considering its strong finish last season. Nevertheless, what is more important is that the squad slowly gains its strength.

Lille

Lille alongside with Saint Etienne and Bordeaux has managed to keep a clean slate. The club has yet to have a taste of defeat, despite opening the season with a scoreless stalemate against Metz.

Just recently, it survived a tough test against Lorient. But the ever reliable Vincent Enyeama refused to concede a single goal, which resulted to a 2-1 victory in Lille’s favor.

Unfortunately, Marko Basa may miss out  in the match against Monaco. A frustrating hamstring injury will prevent him from entering the pitch.

As for Simon Kjaer, the groin injury will keep him on the sidelines.

Possible head turners

Many will be anticipating Falcao’s scoring rampage in the match. Likewise, it is highly possible for Layvin Kurzawa to keep the ball rolling within Monaco’s camp.

For Lille, Idrissa Gueye could step up his game even more to fulfill the void that Kjaer left. Jonatahan Delaplace may take more shots, but needs to be more clinical to snatch the victory.

What the odds say

Sports betting site 12BET picks AS Monaco to win the match. The club is valued to win at 1.99.
