Two playing weeks have already passed by and Lens has not won a single match. But despite its (poor) performance, it is hard to dismiss the team as one of the clubs to have an early exit in the top-flight league. Certainly, Lens is not your typical push-over squad despite being the least favorite of online betting sites.

The contenders

Lyon

Lyon did an impressive job of preventing Rennes from scoring during the opening week. The club kept a clean sheet and scored 2 crucial points to secure its first victory. Indeed, they embarked on a strong start.

However, Lyon struggled when they fought Toulouse. The latter fired 2 goals. But a resilient Alexander Lacazette pulled off a right footed shot to lower the Toulouse’s lead. Unfortunately, time was not their best ally and the club has to go home empty-handed.

Nevertheless, the match against Lens opens another possibility for them to rectify their mistakes in the previous game and score their second dose of 3 points.

Lens

It looked like Lens needs more time to adjust in the top-flight league. As mentioned, the club is still working on snatching its first victory.

Yet, despite the losses, it can be observed that Lens has the potential and can be competitive if it push a little bit harder. The results of their previous matches witnessed them limit their opponents to a single goal. Such is a concrete sign of an impressive defence, which, if readily maximized, can bring them more triumph.

But Lens need to work on their scoring department. Currently, the defeats are caused by the scoring drought that has been plaguing the team.

Possible head turners

Lacazette remains Lyon’s main man. This is as far as the team’s scoring is concerned. On the other hand, Lens will need to unleash that warrior spirit that Antoine Kombouare has been expecting from the club.

What the odds say

Lyon is expected to win at a profitable odd of 1.52. But considering how determined Lens is in grabbing its first victory, the 6.04 odds given to them also looks lucrative.
