Ligue 1 Preview: Guingamp vs. Bordeaux

A late rally prevented Bordeaux from experiencing its first defeat in the season. The squad was able to pull off a draw during the dying minutes of the match against an aggressive Bastia. Aside from salvaging a point from a seemingly disappointing performance, Bordeaux has nonetheless, preserved its spot on the Ligue 1 table. It continues to dominate the top-flight league and will soon meet a struggling Guingamp.


The contenders


Guingamp encountered its 2nd consecutive loss in a frustrating fashion when they went against Lorient. Four (4) massive goals were thrown at them wherein they were unable to respond.
As a result Guingamp slide into the relegation zone along with other struggling teams such as Reims and Evian Thonon Gaillard.



It cannot be denied that Bordeaux also had a hard time maneuvering against Bastia. The match was already approaching its final minutes when Diego Rolan saw the opportunity to score and save the club from the possibility of dropping into the table. Rolan, however, was not the sole hero of Bordeaux as the goal will not materialize if not for Mariano’s crucial assist.


Possible head turners

Mariano was simply unstoppable during the match against Bastia—so unstoppable that nothing or no one can slow him down.



Considering Bordeaux’s performance it is evident that they are the match’s online betting favorite.


Guingamp will need to try harder should they want to end their losing streak.
