Sochaux rekindled its survival possibilities after forcing Paris Saint Germain to a draw. The defending champion are therefore, forced to wait for a while before they can fully celebrate their successful title defence.

Sochaux literally saw a Silva lining during its clash against PSG. The club’s team captain scored an own goal that allowed a struggling Sochaux to equalize and respond to Edinson Cavani’s shot during the 24th minute.

Les Lionceaux need at least 5 points to make it to safety. And with 3 more matches left and a maximum of 9 points to earn, it is indeed, possible for Sochaux to survive. Their chances even increased since their upcoming clash against Nice shall be held in Auguste-Bonal where they are the strongest.

Sochaux has already won its last 7 home matches. There is a chance for them to cause another upset or at least force another even steven finish  when they go against Nice.

Speaking of Nice, the club is also in dire need of more points to ensure their safety. They clinched a narrow victory over Reims, but their poor away form questions their ability to impress.

Nice has been winless in 13 of its last 14 away matches. Due to this, it is difficult to make them as the match’s online betting favorite and outright winner. As a matter of fact, it is very much possible that the match against Sochaux will end in a stalemate.
