It is still possible for Saint Etienne to qualify in the Champions League. Lille’s even steven finish against Bastia opened possibilities for Les Verts to participate in one of Europe’s biggest tournament.

Saint Etienne can accumulate a maximum of 6 points in its remaining matches. Should they win all of them, they will easily outrank Lille. Despite the reality that the probability of such ambition to materialize, is slim, this does not mean that the club is already out of the qualification bid.

Lille’s upcoming match is pitted against Paris Saint-Germain. PSG may have already clinched the title before their clash, but it is less likely for the club to underestimate Lille. Saint Etienne can readily exploit this situation and use it to their advantage. However, they need to remember that this is possible only if they beat Nantes.

Les Verts is the overt online betting favorite over Nantes. They were undefeated in their last 7 matches and scored an average of 2 goals during its last 3 away encounters at home.

But they cannot underestimate Nantes too—despite of their advantage. The latter also brags a strong form in which they only lost once in their last 6 matches. Likewise, they have the potential to pull off a stunner. If Les Verts are targeting the Champions League qualification, the Les Canaris are also hoping for a spot in the top 10. Thus, one cannot easily dismiss their strength on the pitch.

Prediction: Marseille
