Nantes and Guingamp

Match Date: 13 April 2014 (local time)

Venue: La Beaujoire-Louis-Fonteneau

Another survival battle is to be expected from Nantes and Guingamp. Both clubs are trying to veer away from the relegation zone in order to keep their Ligue 1 status. However, only one of them will pull it through. Will it be Guingamp or will it be Nantes?

Nantes slipped to the 15th spot due to a 3-1 loss against AS Monaco. The title contenders proved to be too strong for them despite the fact that like them, it was one of the newly promoted squads of the season.

To make matters worse, the Canaries have only won once in its last 6 matches and were unable to secure a convincing win in 11 of its last 12 encounters. The only reason that it has thrived is the 3 draws that it had against Ajaccio, Lille and Bordeaux.

In the meantime, the results of Guingamp’s performances are no better than that of Nantes.

The club had its taste of its 3rd consecutive defeat, thanks to Montpellier 2-1 victory. It is also evident that in the 3 matches where Guingamp lost, all of their opponents won by a single goal deficit.

Guingamp like Nantes is also a newly promoted squad in Ligue 1.

Given the familiarity that exists between these clubs, there is a high possibility for the match to end in an even steven finish. In the sports betting site, 12BET, a draw is pegged at a decent value of 3.09.

Prediction: Draw
