After securing a place in the Champions League next season, AS Monaco attempts to pursue its title campaign at AC Ajaccio’s expense. The latter’s relegation was already confirmed after surrendering to Bastia.

Shortly after 5 minutes within the match, Dimitar Berbatov’s cheeky goal was a premonition of AS Monaco’s victory. And true enough, despite several attempts, Berbatov’s goal was the match’s sole goal. Fortunately for Les Rouges et Blanc, its title rival, Paris Saint Germain suffered a disappointing loss to Lyon. As a result, what seemed to be an impossible campaign, has managed to regain its momentum.

Paris Saint Germain’s current lead is down to 7 points. Such lead is highly manageable, considering the fact that AS Monaco still has 4 matches left. The only thing they need to do is ensure that they win all their remaining matches. They cannot afford to settle for a draw for it will leave them off the track.

In terms of team form, it does not take rocket science to see the overt advantage of Claudio Ranieri’s men. They have been successful in their last 3 matches and maintain a 5-match undefeated streak in their last 6 encounters. This is in stark contrast to Ajaccio, which was unsuccessful in 25 of its last 27 matches and has been conceding an average of 2 goals during its last 9 matches.

But in order to secure the title, AS Monaco will need the online betting favorite,  Paris Saint Germain to (cooperate). The latter must slip in their matches to pave way for AS Monaco’s title bid. Unfortunately, this scenario is quite unlikely to happen in the near future.

Prediction:  AS Monaco
