A shocking defeat greeted the Biancocelesti at Angelo Massimino as Catania kept them at bay and clinched a victory that lifted them out of the relegation zone. As for Lazio’s part, the defeat caused a disappointing drop in the Serie A table.

Despite their strength, Lazio was outlasted by the minnow Catania—a club, which is on the verge of moving out of Italy’s top-flight league next season. Yet, much to the surprise of many, only their skipper, Stefano Mauri was able to score for the club.

Due to the said loss, Lazio fell to the 10th spot of the table and halted their bid for the European competition next season.

Sassuolo had to endure yet another major beating when they easily surrendered to the strong Napoli. The defeat was Sassuolo’s 5th consecutive loss in their last six (6) matches.

Already at the bottom of the table and is a strong relegation candidate, Sassuolo failed to impose themselves against Rafael Benitez men. Overall, the club has already lost nine (9) of their last ten (10) encounters. The number of goals that they have conceded in their recent battles also average at around two (2) goals.

Given such aspect at hand, their chances of survival have readily decreased. However, they might want to take some inspiration from Catania, which like them, are also struggling for their lives, but managed to beat a Serie A giant.

Prediction: Lazio

Technically, Lazio has the upper hand, but watch out for a minnow might give them another taste of defeat.
