Real Madrid - 1

Match Date: 18 October 2014 (local time)

Venue: Ciutat de Valencia

A massive win against Athletic Bilbao inspires Real Madrid to continue its winning streak this season. Despite the slow start and speculations of Cristiano Ronaldo’s slowing down, the title contender disproved all doubt and is on the verge of claiming another batch of silverware.

The contenders

Levante should use the disappointment it experienced during the Eibar’s face-off. The club (Levante) was up by two (2) goals after the first half. Yet, a resilient Eibar nailed a massive comeback that eventually ended in an even steven finish.

Similar to Gaizka Garitano, Levante’s manager, Jose Luis Mendilibar also believes that they did not deserve the draw. However, Mendilibar’s arguments have nothing to do with inconsistent refereeing. Rather, it was more on the team’s inability to protect its lead.

Real Madrid

The online betting favorite, Real Madrid displayed another impressive performance when they thrashed Athletic Bilbao with five (5) goals during their recent encounter. Their opponent could only walk away with frustration as they were unable to respond well to Real Madrid’s attack.

The match witnessed Cristiano Ronaldo nail a hat-trick and Karim Benzema back on its scoring ways. Benzema contributed two (2) goals during the said clash.

Possible head turners

Gareth Bale did not score a single goal during Real Madrid’s recent match. However, he provided crucial assists that paved way for Ronaldo to deliver goals. But hey, even Ronaldo had his share of assists in the said game.

Apparently, the triumvirate of Ronaldo, Bale and Benzema is back. Expect the three to bring tremors and excitement into the pitch during the match against Levante.
