After a frustrating loss to Celta Vigo, Getafe needs to deal with injury concerns prior to their upcoming match. Do they have what it takes to clinch the precious 3 points?

The contenders

Getafe

Getafe’s had a disappointing start this season when Celta Vigo clinched a well-deserved victory. The squad had to endure a 3-1 defeat, which may readily rattle the members’ morale. Giving them more problems were the injuries incurred by Alexis and Rafa.

Aware of what their current situation can do to their upcoming performance, Diego Castro reminded his teammates not to let their present shortcomings affect their mentality during the match.

Almeria

Unlike Getafe, Almeria has no injury issues to worry. The stalemate against Espanyol was good enough to earn them a point during the season’s kick-off.

Michel Machedo has already returned to the squad and his presence is expected to add more depth. Having been a member of Almeria before, Machedo will only need to deal with little adjustments.

Possible head turners

But of course, Machedo’s arrival generates a great impact to the quality of the club. His grand comeback is expected to give the squad a major boost.

Meanwhile, Getafe’s head honcho Cosmin Contra will be taking the limelight too.  With the injuries experienced by its key players, many are waiting to see how he will line-up against Almeria.

What the odds say

Despite the injury, Getafe remains a heavy favorite in the sports betting site, 12BET.  The club is valued to win with odds pegged at 2.04.
