SD Eibar

Match Date: 04 October 2014 (local time)

Venue: Ipurua

Another humiliating loss shook Levante and created more chaos in the squad’s stability. Sitting in the hot seat is its head honcho, Jose Luis Mendilibar, who has been slapped with criticisms as the club crumbles into pieces.

Currently, Levante occupies the 19th spot of the La Liga table, which makes them a favorite of sports betting sites in terms of being a relegation candidate.

The contenders

Eibar has managed to make a good impression in the top-flight league despite being a newly-promoted squad.

Just recently, the club snatched a scoreless stalemate against the heavy favorite, Athletic Bilbao. This propelled them to the 8th spot of the La Liga hierarchy, which is a good sign of continuous and consistent progress.

Considering this aspect at hand, it is no longer a surprise why Gaizka Garitano seems to be satisfied with his group’s current performance.

A slow start posits a big challenge to Mendilibar’s ability to lead the squad. Such criticisms cropped out when the club experienced another loss and therefore, slipped into the rock bottom part of the top-flight league.

But despite the blame game, Jose Luis Morales stressed that they will continue to show support to Mendilibar’s management.

Possible head turners

Eibar’s Raul Bentosa is one of the possible stand-outs in the match. The defender has been prolific in securing possession and even managed to deliver goals for the club.
