In their most recent match, Celta de Vigo and Espanyol nearly landed in a draw. Thanks to Natxo Insa’s winning goal, the game ended in 1-0 tally in favor of The Celts which saw its fate almost concluded in relegation. Both teams have had a managerial change, which means that the predictability of their tactics would seem quite vague. The sides should capitalize on this otherwise “blessing in disguise” for them to escalate surprise factors in the pitch.

Celta Vigo’s latest match ended in a draw but they were later announced winners after their friendly match with Southampton was decided on penalty. Scores were quite scarce during the 90 minutes, but Luis Enrique’s men were eyeing feat on the penalty spot, converting four of their kicks to the Premier League side’s one. David Rodriguez, Fabian Orellana, Alex Lopez, and David Goldar scored for the team, while only Steven Davis produced one for Southampton. The Celts’ earlier matches were a mix of wins and defeats, submitting to Porto 1-0 and Real Betis 1-0, but dominating over Real Valladolid 0-2 and of course, their forthcoming opponents, Espanyol 1-0.

While Christian Stuani has believed that the Parakeets are in for an ‘important year,’ it seems a little disappointing that their recent matches were barely spectacular. Javier Aguirre’s men have so far not been able to secure a win in their latest matches. Draws were posted when they competed against Montpellier 0-0 and CS Constantine 2-2, but a defeat was obtained when they fought against Sabadell 2-1 and their future nemeses, Celta de Vigo 1-0.

Celta Viga were nearly relegated in the last season of La Liga, ranking 17th on the table. But they have been displaying substantial improvements lately, marking assumptions that they are gaining better footwork. Espanyol, on the other hand, seem to be missing some key points in their systems. They need to bulk up if they don’t want to lose their 13th spot ranking; or else, they’d go down further.

Predicted winners: The Celts
